Position Summary:

Do you enjoy helping customers and working in a collaborative team environment?  If so, this opportunity might be for you!  We are looking for a customer service-oriented individual to join our Wealth Management team!  In this position, you will be responsible for providing timely and accurate service to clients, and additional support to Sales Advisors, as it relates to the sale and service of individual wealth management business.  Qualified candidates must have excellent customer service, computer, organization, and communication skills.  Don’t have wealth management experience?  That’s okay; we can teach you that part!

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Customer Service

  • Provide customer service to clients and assist them with questions, concerns, or issues related to their policy or accounts.  Handle the service request in a timely manner or refer to the Sales Advisor for further assistance if necessary.
  • Work closely with investment companies to process and maintain all forms of business.  Also act as a liaison between clients, companies, and Sales Advisors to resolve all questions or issues related to policy or account information.
  • Maintain and update all client and investment company records in an efficient and timely manner.  Also maintain investment company contacts as appropriate.
  • Process all policy and account changes with the appropriate investment company and/or in the appropriate agency management system in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Accurately document client service issues, conversations, meetings, and phone calls to ensure proper compliance and documentation requirements are met.  This is also completed in a timely manner to ensure client records are accurate and up to date at all times.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with the appropriate investment company representatives.
  • Assist and work collaboratively with other Account Managers to process all forms of business, ensuring the smooth, efficient operation of the department.
  • Responsible for incoming and outgoing mail, which includes postage, sorting, scanning, and distribution.  Also, coordinate the pick-up and delivery of express mail services such as FedEx and UPS.
  • Act as point person for local Accel Wealth Management seminars (virtual or in-person).

Sales Support

  • Assist Sales Advisor(s) with scheduling and preparing for client reviews.
  • Follow-up on any outstanding policy or account changes the Sales Advisor(s) need or request.
  • Work with Sales Advisor(s) to review accounts and policy anniversary dates and determine the appropriate action or information needed to prepare any/all account paperwork.
  • In conjunction with Sales Advisor(s), collect detailed information from existing and prospective clients to adequately review their financial planning needs.  This may include financial information and/or insurance policies.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a customer service role.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to have positive customer interactions and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Excellent computer skills, including the ability to utilize Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, and Excel), web-based computer applications, and other agency management systems.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects or tasks, meet established deadlines, and change priorities as business needs require.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including both written and verbal communication.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, but also independently with minimal daily supervision.
  • The ability to utilize basic office equipment, such as a computer, keyboard, mouse, monitors, printer, copier, and scanner.

 

Other Requirements:

Work Arrangement:

  • This is a full-time, in-person position at our Cedar Rapids office; however, it does include flexibility and the ability to work from home on occasion for personal appointments and/or family needs.

 

Work Schedule:

  • Our office hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional client appointments after 4:30 PM.  Upon hire, you will be able to select a preferred work schedule of 8:00-4:30 with a 30-minute lunch break, 8:30-5:00 with a 30-minute lunch break, or 8:00-5:00 with a 1-hour lunch break.
